Yellow, green, brown shades are the color code of the national Hutsul craft - the painted ceramics of Kosovo, which inspired the new FOBERINI collection. Kosovo ceramics are an intangible cultural heritage of humanity, because this tradition is truly unique. The technology of making ceramics has been used for a long time, but the drawings themselves differed: people depicted the world around them, the subjects that surrounded them. Scenes of Hutsul life, plants and animals, various ritual symbols were traditional.
Our collection, inspired by Kosiv painted ceramics, reflects the modern history and life of all Ukrainians. Those to whom we owe our lives today — our military. Those who in the most difficult times are capable of the impossible, who continue to live and help each other for the common goal of victory.
February 24, 2022 is the date that became the countdown. For all time, a full-scale war has changed the lives of each of us. However, one thing remains unchanged — no matter what happens, we remain human. A military that protects. A volunteer who helps. Or a couple of lovers who, despite everything, are building a new family. We are sure that every Ukrainian can recognize a part of himself in these ornaments today.
"Thus, the painted technique depicts an extremely difficult historical period for Ukraine. We will preserve this story for future generations... And no one will rewrite it."
The collection has a charitable purpose. As part of the "Embroidered History" charity initiative, UAH 3,000 from the sale of each embroidered shirt will be transferred to charity. It included women's dresses, blouses, children's and men's shirts.
The partner of our initiative became the Superhumans Center — the All-Ukrainian modern center for prosthetics, reconstructive surgery and rehabilitation of war victims. Starting from 24.02.2024, within 6 months, the funds collected from the sale of the collection will be transferred to the needs of the center.
